The Designer Precinct was founded by Vicki Vlahos, a Sydney-based fashion designer with more than twenty years in fashion and design. Vicki is the creative force behind Portia & Scarlett — a globally recognised formalwear and pageant label that has shaped contemporary eveningwear around the world.
A visionary in luxury fashion & occasionwear
Vicki began her journey by opening The Doll House, a Sydney boutique dedicated to high-end statement dresses. In 2014 she launched Portia & Scarlett — bold silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and expert craftsmanship for proms, formals, red carpets and pageants. Today the label is stocked in more than 1,000 stores across 15 countries.

In September 2026 Vicki Vlahos took her seat on the judging panel for Miss America 2027 in West Palm Beach, Florida — invited to help crown the next Miss America on one of the country’s most iconic pageant stages.
